What this website does not do

This website embeds no third-party content; fonts and images are loaded exclusively from our own server. Cookies and a connection to Google arise only after you consent to statistics — see the following section. If you decline or make no choice, the site remains entirely free of third parties.

Statistics (Google Analytics)

If you consent in the banner at the bottom of the page, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages get visited. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This sets cookies on your device and transfers data to Google, including to servers in the USA; the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Advertising features are switched off. The legal basis is solely your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent, nothing is loaded and no connection to Google is established. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, via “Change statistics setting” in the page footer.

What is stored on your device

If you choose a location in the site header, your browser stores that choice locally (local storage, key "ua.standort"). This is not a cookie: the value is never sent with any request and never reaches our server. It exists solely to show you the same choice on your next visit, contains no personal data and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings. No consent is required for it (§ 165(3)(2) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 — a setting initiated by the user). The same applies to the point of sale you choose in the site header (key “ua.markt”). The same applies to the running game on the access page: it stores locally whether the find succeeded (key “ua.jagd”), your own best score (key “ua.jagd.best”) and the player name you last entered (key “ua.jagd.name”). Whether an overtake notification has been requested is also remembered (key “ua.jagd.wache”); the email address itself is never stored in the browser.

While the site is not public yet, it sits behind a password. Entering it sets one strictly necessary cookie (ua_gate). It records only that the password was entered, carries no personal reference and expires after 30 days. No consent is required for this (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive). When we go live, the protection and the cookie disappear with it.

Server log files

When you open the site, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data: IP address, timestamp, requested file, browser type and operating system. This serves secure and stable operation and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). This data is not combined with other data and not analysed for advertising.

Waitlist and newsletter

We store your email address for one purpose only: to tell you when Umbrella Armory launches and about new products. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

After you submit, you will receive a confirmation email. You are only on the list once you click the link inside it (double opt-in). As proof of consent we store the time and IP address of both the sign-up and the confirmation, together with the wording you agreed to.

If you do not confirm, we delete the entry automatically after 14 days. Once you unsubscribe, your entry is deleted in full. We pass your address on to no one. It is stored on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Deutschland.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Write to us at [email protected].

If you sign up through a referral link, we store the referrer's code with your entry. It serves only to improve their position on the waiting list; the referrer never learns your address, and when your entry is deleted this detail is deleted with it. Every confirmed entry gets its own referral code; you will find it in the welcome email.

Leaderboard of the running game

The access page carries a small game. If you enter a player name after a run, you consent to that name being shown publicly on the access page together with the score you reached (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We store the player name, the score, the length of the run and the time, plus your IP address and browser identification; the latter two solely to prevent abuse. The entry has nothing to do with the waiting list — no email address is collected or needed for it. Providing a name is voluntary, the game works without it. You can have the entry deleted at any time and withdraw your consent with effect for the future; a message to the address given above is enough.

If you additionally leave an email address after entering the leaderboard, you will receive a message when your run has been beaten (double-opt-in confirmation, at most one message per day). The address serves this purpose only, is stored separately from the waiting list and is deleted when you unsubscribe.

Badges of the bunker trail

Behind the access page there are locked doors. Anyone who opens one can claim a badge for it and may voluntarily provide an email address and/or the player name from the leaderboard. For the address we store which badge was earned and when; the address itself is thereby placed on the waiting list (double opt-in as above, with time, IP address and the wording of the consent). For the player name we store which badge it carries — the badge then appears publicly next to it on the leaderboard (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Both entries are stored separately and are not linked to each other: no waiting list record knows a leaderboard record. Providing them is voluntary; the doors open without them. Unsubscribing from the waiting list deletes the address along with its badges, and deleting a leaderboard entry deletes its badges with it.
